Workfare Income Supplement (WIS)
Anyone who asks for your OTP or Singpass password, or asks you to pay before you can get government support, is a scammer.
WIS tops up the earnings and CPF savings of lower-wage Singapore Citizen workers. It applies to employees, platform workers and self-employed persons earning an average gross monthly income of roughly $500 to $3,000, who are at least 30 years old as at 31 December of the work year (no minimum age for persons with disabilities). Applicants (and their spouse, if married) must own at most one property, with an annual value not exceeding $21,000; a spouse's assessable income must also not exceed $70,000. Payouts scale up with age and are paid partly in cash and partly into CPF accounts (or MediSave for the self-employed).
