Edusave Account

Anyone who asks for your OTP or Singpass password, or asks you to pay before you can get government support, is a scammer.

Every Singapore Citizen student gets an Edusave Account that MOE tops up automatically each year — currently $230 for primary school students and $290 for secondary school students — with no application or parental contribution needed. Students in MOE-funded schools receive contributions from the start of primary school through the end of secondary school; those outside the MOE system (private schools, madrasahs, homeschooled, or overseas) receive contributions from age 7 to 16. The money can be put toward approved school fees and enrichment programmes, and a one-off $500 credit was given in July 2025 to citizens born between 2009 and 2012. Separately, top-performing or improving students may receive an Edusave academic award (Edusave Scholarship, Edusave Merit Bursary, or Good Progress Award) — a child qualifies for only one of these per year, though a Good Progress Award is topped up to Merit Bursary value if the child later also earns the Merit Bursary.
