CPF Housing Grant for Resale Flats (Families) — "Family Grant"

Anyone who asks for your OTP or Singpass password, or asks you to pay before you can get government support, is a scammer.

Often called the Family Grant, this CPF Housing Grant tops up the CPF Ordinary Accounts of first-timer couples and families who buy an HDB resale flat. Two Singapore Citizens buying a 4-room or smaller flat receive $80,000 (or $70,000 if one buyer is a Permanent Resident); a 5-room or larger flat gets $50,000 (or $40,000 for a Citizen-PR pair). To qualify, the household needs at least one first-timer Singapore Citizen aged 21 or above plus another Citizen or Permanent Resident who have not received a housing subsidy before, average gross monthly household income of $14,000 or less ($21,000 if buying with an extended or multi-generation family), no private property owned or disposed of in the 30 months before applying, and a resale flat with more than 20 years remaining lease. It is a separate scheme from the Enhanced CPF Housing Grant (EHG) and Proximity Housing Grant (PHG), and stacks with both, letting an eligible Citizen/Citizen first-timer family buying a 4-room or smaller resale flat receive up to $230,000 in total CPF housing grants.
